Resolve, To Direct the Department of Health and Human Services To Provide Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Benefits to Certain Guardians of Minors

Sec. 1. Certain guardians may receive monthly benefit. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall amend its rules governing the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program to provide that a guardian of a minor who is not related to the minor may receive a monthly benefit. Rules adopted pursuant to this resolve are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.
