Amend the amendment in Part XXXX in section 13 in section §1451 in the 2nd indented paragraph in the last line (page 752, line 5 in amendment) by inserting after the following: " citizenship." the following: ' Regional school units are not required to operate secondary school facilities. A regional school unit that does not operate a secondary school facility may enter into a contract for the education of its secondary school students pursuant to section 1479, subsection 2.'

Amend the amendment in Part XXXX in section 13 in section §1479 in the first indented paragraph in the last line (page 769, line 36 in amendment) by striking out the following: " 12." and inserting the following: ' 12, except that a regional school unit is not required to operate a secondary school facility. A regional school unit that does not operate a secondary school facility may enter into a contract for the education of its secondary school students pursuant to subsection 2.'

Amend the amendment by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.
