Amend the amendment by striking out all of Part XXXX and inserting the following:
PART XXXX
‘Sec. XXXX-1. Report. The Commissioner of Education shall report by January 15, 2008 to the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs and the Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs with a methodology for how to distribute the reduction of funding for general purpose aid to school administrative units.’
Amend the amendment by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.

This amendment removes that part of Committee Amendment “A” that provides for the reorganization of school administrative units and replaces it with a requirement that the Commissioner of Education report on the methodology for distributing the reduction of funding for general purpose aid to school administrative units.
