The Secretary of
State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average
length for the general election in November. If the number or size of the
referendum questions increases the ballot length, an additional appropriation
of $8,000 or more may be required. A
special election would require an additional appropriation of $121,392. |

Changes
in the number of elver licenses that can be issued in fiscal year 2005-06
will result in the estimated loss of $11,682 in General Fund revenue and
$20,532 in Other Special Revenue Funds revenue collected by the Department of
Marine Resources in fiscal year 2005-06.
Future limits in the number of elver licenses that can be issued will
be determined by rules adopted by the Commissioner of Marine Resources; the
effect on future revenue will depend on the limits established by rule and
can not be determined at this time. |
