Correctional and Judicial Impact Statements
Establishes a new Class D crime.
The additional workload, administrative costs and indigent defense costs associated with a minimal number of new cases filed in the court sysytem can be absorbed within the budgeted resources of the Judicial Department.  The collection of additional fines may also increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
The establishment of renewal fees for licensed slot machine distributors and registered slot machines will increase General Fund revenue by $272,500 in fiscal year 2006-07 and $325,000 in each fiscal year thereafter.  The lowering of renewal application fees for employees of slot machine operators will decrease General Fund revenue by an estimated $25,875 in fiscal year 2006-07, $25,875 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $34,425 in fiscal year 2008-09.
The establishment of a per diem which is to be paid retroactively to members of the Gambling Control Board will require additional General Fund appropriations of $12,865 in fiscal year 2006-07 and $3,600 for each fiscal year thereafter.
