This
bill will require Other Special Revenue Funds allocations to the Emergency
Services Communication Bureau within the Public Utilities Commission of
$291,307 in fiscal year 2005-06 and $253,510 in fiscal year 2006-07. The allocations will provide funds for
training costs, equipment needs and two additional staff members at the
Public Utilities Commission to conduct random testing monthly. The bill provides no funding for the
proposal. It is estimated that a $.02
increase in the surcharge would result in an increase in dedicated revenue of
approximately $320,000 annually. |
