Fiscal Detail and Notes
Providing turkey hunting permits to all qualified persons who submitted timely applications in 2005 will increase, on a one-time basis, General Fund revenues collected by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife from license fees; the estimated amount is $34,127 in fiscal year 2004-05. The department will require an additional one-time General Fund appropriation of $8,756 in fiscal year 2004-05 to cover additional administrative costs associated with this expansion of eligible hunters.  In addition, in order to meet the constitutional requirement that the total level of General Fund appropriations must be at least equal to the undedicated revenue collected by the department, the department will require an additional General Fund appropriation of $25,371 or some other adjustment in fiscal year 2004-05 to offset this revenue increase.  Historically, additional General Fund appropriations have been provided to the Savings Fund program to balance additional General Fund revenue or deppropriations affecting the department.
