This
legislation requires various products, fixtures and equipment to meet certain
energy standards that have not been developed yet but are to be adopted by
the Public Utilities Commission no later than January 1, 2006. The additional costs to the state
resulting from the new energy standards can not be determined at this
time. The costs associated with
developing the efficiency standards as required by this bill will be absorbed
by the Public Utilities Commission utilizing existing budgeted resources. |
