The
Department of Education may require additional General Fund appropriations in

organizations that provide support and services to educators and school
systems associated with the implementation of the system of learning
results. The amount can not be
determined at this time. |

This
legislation provides that the costs associated with this measure qualify to
receive funds from the Fund for the Efficient Delivery of Educational
Services. However, Section D-67 of
Public Law 2005, Chapter 2, An Act To Increase the State Share of Education
Costs, Reduce Property Taxes and Reduce Government Spending at All Levels,
requires that all funds allocated for the Efficient Delivery of Educational
Services in fiscal year 2005-06 must be used for transition adjustments. Therefore, there will be no funds
available in the Fund in fiscal year 2005-06 to support the cost of this
legislation. |
