Requiring
an employer who fails to provide two weeks notice for termination without
reasonable cause to provide the employee with two weeks pay will result in
additional costs to departments and agencies within state government. These unknown additional costs will be
offset by anticipated savings resulting from requiring an employee who quits
without giving two weeks notice to be subject to a forfeiture of one week's
pay. The overall impact of these two
provisions should have little net fiscal impact on the state. |
