Decreasing
the initial and renewal license fees for applicants who are deaf may result
in a minor reduction in dedicated revenue to the Department of Professional
and Financial Regulation. Increasing
the cap for initial and renewal license fees from $300 to $325, except for
applicants who are deaf, may increase the amount of dedicated revenues
collected from licensing fees. The
net impact on revenues to the Department of Professional and Financial
Regulation as a result of this legislation can not be determined at this time
and will depend on when, and if, initial and renewal license fees for all
applicants, except those who are deaf, are increased. |
