Allowing
the courts more discretion to place offenders on probation for certain Class
D, E or Title 29 offenses would, in part, reverse the intent and impact of
Chapter 711, PL of 2003 (LD 1903) by shifting probation resources to
supervise low risk cases. This will
result in additional costs to the department. |
