State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average
length for the general election in November. If the number or size of the
referendum questions increases the ballot length, an additional appropriation
of $8,000 or more may be required. A
special election would require an additional appropriation of $121,392. |

Department of Public Safety will require a one-time General Fund
appropriation of $2,960 in fiscal year 2005-06 and a one-time Highway Fund
allocation of $5,040 in fiscal year 2005-06 for the costs of certain computer
enhancements needed to distribute information from the sex offender registry. |
