This
legislation creates certain requirements regarding federal trade
agreements. Appointing two
legislative points of contact at the beginning of each legislative session
will not result in any additional costs to the Legislature. Assuming there are limited federal
requests for consent, the additional costs associated with transmitting
information to the Office of the Governor, the Attorney General and all
appropriate legislative committees can be absorbed by the Legislature
utilizing existing budgeted resources.
If there are a significant number of such requests, the Legislature
may require an additional General Fund appropriation to fulfill the
requirements outlined in the bill in an amount that can not be determined at
this time. The additional costs
associated with the notification requirements of the Department of the
Attorney General can be absorbed utilizing existing budgeted resources. |
