The
Office of Tourism within the Department of Economic and Community Development
estimates the cost to conduct the required feasibility study to be between
$100,000 and $150,000. The Office
of Tourism receives 5% of the meals and lodging tax as its primary source of
revenue for the support of its operations and receives no General Fund
appropriations. The ability of the
Office to absorb the cost of this study, without impacting other services or
programs, can not be determined at this time. |
