Fiscal Detail and Notes
The amendment changes the effective date of the health insurance subsidy program from July 1, 2007 to  January 1, 2007, and funds the cost of the subsidy during this six-month period with an allocation from the Fund for a Healthy Maine (FHM) that is itself funded by an across-the board deallocation to programs in the FHM. The amendment funds the 2008-2009 costs of the subsidy from FHM funds, thereby eliminating the General Fund costs of the subsidy.
