Assuming
this bill is intended to affect only one hospital, York Hospital, the lost
Other Special Revenue Funds revenue impact and the General Fund cost (lost
savings) impact would be approximately $1.3 to $1.5 million per year. However, exempting a hospital from this
Medicaid provider tax could be interpreted as a violation of the federal
rules governing such provider taxes and threaten the continuation of the
entire hospital tax with a resulting potential General Fund cost of
approximately $35 million per year. |
