State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average
length for the general election in November. If the number or size of the
referendum questions increases the ballot length, an additional appropriation
of $8,000 or more may be required. A
special election would require an additional appropriation of $121,392. |

The
establishment of a seasonal motor vehicle registration for commercial
vehicles will require a one-time Highway Fund allocation of $19,500 in fiscal
year 2005-06 for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles within the Department of the
Secretary of State for the costs of reprogramming the bureau's computer
system. |
