	The Secretary of State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average length for the general election in November. If the number or size of the referendum questions increases the ballot length, an additional appropriation of $8,000 or more may be required.  A special election would require an additional appropriation of $121,392.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
	Authorizing a lifetime exemption to certain individuals from vehicle registration fees and excise taxes will result in the estimated loss of Highway Fund revenues collected by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles within the Department of the Secretary of State in the amounts of $2,497,500 and $3,330,000 in fiscal years 2005-06 and 2006-07, respectively.
