The Secretary of
State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average
length for the general election in November. If the number or size of the
referendum questions increases the ballot length, an additional appropriation
of $8,000 or more may be required. A
special election would require an additional appropriation of $121,392. |

Requiring
the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources to conduct an
expanded food testing program will necessitate additional General Fund
appropriations of $151,970 and $78,967 in fiscal years 2005-06 and 2006-07,
respectively, for the costs of an additional Microbiologist II position,
operating expenses and laboratory construction and equipment. |
