Requiring
that the State Police within the Department of Public Safety must confiscate
certain vehicles will represent additional costs and revenues to the General
Fund and to the Highway Fund. The
amounts of increased costs could be significant and will depend on various
towing charges and storage fees that will be incurred until court cases are
resolved. The revenue that will be
realized from the value of confiscated vehicles will depend on the number and
market value of vehicles that have been seized; the amounts can not be
determined at this time. |
