Removing
provisions implementing the collective bargaining agreements will constitute
rejection of the cost items in those agreements and, pursuant to MRSA Title
26, Section 979-D, require their return to the parties for further
bargaining. No additional
appropriations and allocations were included in the amended bill for the cost
of collective bargaining and, therefore, this amendment will have no net
effect on General Fund appropriations and revenue and a balanced budget is
maintained for the 2006-2007 biennium. |
