Resolve, Directing the Department of Professional and

 
Financial Regulation To Conduct a Sunrise Review Regarding

 
the Regulation of Fire Alarm Contractors

 
Sec. 1. Sunrise review. Resolved: That the Commissioner of
Professional and Financial Regulation, pursuant to the Maine
Revised Statutes, Title 32, chapter 1-A, subchapter 2, shall
conduct an independent assessment of the regulation of fire alarm
contractors. The commissioner shall submit a report to the joint
standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over
business, research and economic development matters no later than
January 15, 2007. The joint standing committee may introduce a
bill to the First Regular Session of the 123rd Legislature
concerning the regulation of fire alarm contractors.
