An Act To Amend the Operator's License and Nondriver

Identification Card Requirements

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §1301, sub-§10 is enacted to read:

10.__Expired documents.__The Secretary of State may not accept the following documents as identification for the purpose of issuing a nondriver identification card or driver's license:

A.__An expired visa granted by the authority of the United States;

B.__An expired document issued by a foreign country; or

C.__A foreign passport showing an elapsed departure date.
