Sec. 43. Legislation. The Department of Environmental Protection may
submit legislation to the Second Regular Session of the 122nd
Legislature prior to March 1, 2006 to implement measures
necessary to meet the goals of the climate action plan required
in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 38, section 577.

 
Sec. 44. Application. That section of this Act that amends the
Maine Revised Statutes, Title 36, section 5219-X applies to tax
years beginning on or after January 1, 2004.
