The department shall provide training for sport coaches,
athletic directors and physical education teachers in the dangers
of performance-enhancing substances.

 
§6623.__Marketing

 
A teacher, athletic director, sports coach or other school
official or employee may not sell, distribute or promote a
performance-enhancing substance on the performance-enhancing
substance list under section 6621.__A school may not accept a
sponsorship from a manufacturer of a performance-enhancing
substance on the performance-enhancing substance list.

 
§6624.__Prohibited

 
A student participating in interscholastic sports may not use
a performance-enhancing substance on the performance-enhancing
list under section 6621.__A student participating in
interscholastic sports shall sign a form provided by the
department stating that the student will not use a performance-
enhancing substance.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services
to establish a performance-enhancing substance list, to publish
the list on its publicly accessible website and to notify the
Department of Education of the list. The bill also requires
sport coaches, athletic directors and physical education teachers
to be trained in the dangers of the use of performance-enhancing
substances. The bill prohibits the use of performance-enhancing
substances by students participating in interscholastic sports
and requires a student to sign a form indicating that the student
will abstain from using a performance-enhancing substance.
