An Act To Increase Wheelchair Van Services Reimbursement Rates

Sec. 1. Reimbursement rates. The Department of Health and Human Services shall increase the MaineCare program reimbursement rates for wheelchair van services so that the providers are not providing service at a loss.

Sec. 2. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

Initiative: Provides funding for increasing the reimbursement rates for wheelchair van services under the MaineCare program to cover losses the providers are incurring.

SUMMARY

This bill directs the Department of Health and Human Services to increase the reimbursement rates for wheelchair van services and provides an appropriation for wheelchair van services under the MaineCare program to prevent a loss to providers of the service.
