| | Emergency preamble. Whereas, acts and resolves of the Legislature do | not become effective until 90 days after adjournment unless | enacted as emergencies; and |

| | Whereas, paper companies play an important role in Maine's | economy; and |

| | Whereas, the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation | adopted rules effective January 15, 2005 pertaining to the Office | of Licensing and Registration, Board of Boilers and Pressure | Vessels; and |

| | Whereas, these rules have an adverse effect on the paper | companies in the State; and |
|
| | Whereas, in the judgment of the Legislature, these facts create | an emergency within the meaning of the Constitution of Maine and | require the following legislation as immediately necessary for | the preservation of the public peace, health and safety; now, | therefore, be it |

| | Sec. 1. Rule suspension. Resolved: That the Department of Professional | and Financial Regulation shall suspend recently enacted rules | pertaining to repairs and alterations to boilers and pressure | vessels that took effect January 15, 2005. |

| | Emergency clause. In view of the emergency cited in the preamble, | this resolve takes effect when approved. |

| | This resolve requires the Department of Professional and | Financial Regulation to suspend recently enacted rules pertaining | to the Office of Licensing and Registration, Board of Boilers and | Pressure Vessels. |
