| | Whereas, population sizes such as those on the Pleasant River | are not sufficient in number to create a viable new population; | and |

| | Whereas, the federal restoration plan for the Pleasant River | will take an estimated 35 years or more; now, therefore, be it |

| | Sec. 1. Restoration of Atlantic salmon population in Pleasant River. Resolved: That | the Department of Marine Resources shall use existing aquaculture | technology to accomplish the restoration of Atlantic salmon to | the Pleasant River within 5 years in sufficient quantity to allow | sport fishing and viable numbers for spawning. |
