| | Whereas, the real estate authorized for conveyance by this | resolve is under the designations described in the Maine Revised | Statutes, Title 12, section 598-A; and |

| | Whereas, the Director of the Bureau of Parks and Lands within | the Department of Conservation may sell or exchange lands with | the approval of the Legislature in accordance with the Maine | Revised Statutes, Title 12, sections 1837 and 1851; now, | therefore, be it |

| | Sec. 1. Director of Bureau of Parks and Lands directed to convey certain real estate. | Resolved: That the Director of the Bureau of Parks and Lands | within the Department of Conservation shall transfer the State's | fee interest in 4 parcels of land located in the Town of Allagash | to the Town of Allagash. The parcels of land to be transferred | are those lots that were designated as ministerial and school | lots for Allagash Plantation and transferred to the State for | management as public reserved lands in accordance with Public Law | 1973, chapter 628 prior to the incorporation of Allagash | Plantation as the Town of Allagash in accordance with Private and | Special Law 1975, chapter 62; and be it further |

| | Sec. 2. Use of transferred lands. Resolved: That the Director of the Bureau | of Parks and Lands within the Department of Conservation is | authorized to convey these 4 parcels of land on the condition | that the Town of Allagash manage or provide for management of | these lands with the objective of maximizing benefits to the Town | of Allagash. Benefits from the land may include, but are not | limited to, recreational uses of the land and revenue derived | from management of the land. All revenue generated from the sale | of timber or other resources on the land or from other uses of | the land must be used in a manner that benefits the Town of | Allagash as determined by the governing body of that town. |
