Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §11154, sub-§13 is enacted to read:

13.__Persons 75 years of age of older.__Notwithstanding the other provisions of this section, the commissioner may issue a moose permit to an eligible person who is 75 years of age or older who has held a hunting permit issued under this chapter for 3 of the previous 5 years.__A permit issued under this subsection is not transferable and does not affect the number of permits that may be issued by the commissioner under this section.

SUMMARY

This bill allows a person 75 years of age or older who has held a hunting permit for 3 of the past 5 years to receive a moose permit upon application to the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
