Current Costs - Legislative Study
Legislative Study
	The projected cost to fund the general operating expense of this study is $4,440 in fiscal year 2003-04.  The Legislature has budgeted $30,000 in fiscal year 2003-04 for legislative studies.  Whether the amount is sufficient to fund all studies will depend on the number of studies authorized by the Legislative Council and the Legislature.  In addition, section 6 of the bill includes a provision for the Executive Department, the State Planning Office, the Maine Municipal Association and the Maine County Commissioners Association to contribute funds equally to pay for any agreed upon expenses.   Whether any subsequent agreement will cover the estimated cost for printing the report or reimbursing non legislative members for expenses is not known at this time.
