The
additional costs to the Judicial Department associated with permitting the
use of evidence obtained from unmanned, automatic cameras to prosecute and
prove traffic violations can not be determined at this time because it is not
known exactly when, where and how many automatic cameras would be
installed. There is conflicting
information on whether cameras increase citations or act as a deterrent and
reduce them. Assuming that the
registered owner of the vehicle is the person who committed the violation
will increase the number of trial requests for infractions. |
