	Reducing the number of oil spills reported to the Department of Environmental Protection will result in the department not overseeing the clean-up of certain oil spills.  This could lead to an indeterminate increase in costs incurred by the department to remediate oil spills that are not properly cleaned up.  These costs will be paid from either the Maine Coastal and Inland Surface Oil Clean-up Fund or the Ground Water Oil Clean-up Fund in amounts that can not be determined at this time.
