Allowing
prosecuting attorneys to file motions to revoke probation will result in an
increase in overtime costs to the Department of Corrections for probation
officers. The Department of
Corrections estimates that it takes a probation officer 5 to 8 hours of time
on average for each probation revocation, resulting in approximately $139.40
to $223.04 of overtime costs per revocation.
The total cost for the Department of Corrections and the Department of
the Attorney General can not be determined at this time. |
