	This amendment includes a General Fund appropriation for the Department of Public Safety to cover the costs of processing background checks for new certified nursing assistants; the amounts are $57,287 and $65,000 in fiscal years 2003-04 and 2004-05, respectively.
	Beginning in fiscal year 2003-04, the background check fees for new certified nursing assistants will generate an estimated $65,000 in annual General Fund revenue.
