Fiscal Detail and Notes
	This bill eliminates the .5% surcharge on telecommunication carriers pursuant to 35-A MRSA, section 7104-B.  This will result in a loss of revenue of approximately $2.9 million annually to the Maine Telecommunications Education Access Fund, a non-state fund used to provide assistance in paying costs of acquiring and using advanced telecommunications technologies to over 1000 libraries and schools statewide and the Raymond H. Folger Library at the University of Maine.
