4.__Violation.__A person may not fail to comply with any provision of this section.

5.__Penalty.__A person who violates this section commits a civil violation for which a forfeiture of not less than $100 nor more than $500 may be adjudged.

§12660.__Antifreeze agents

Adding substances containing ethylene glycol or other antifreeze agents to the waters of this State is a violation of Title 38, section 413.

§12661. Ice fishing shacks

1.__Prohibitions.__A person who owns any shack or temporary structure used for ice fishing may not:

A.__Leave or allow the shack or structure to remain on the ice of any inland waters more than 3 days after the waters on which the shack or structure is located are closed to ice fishing;

B.__Place or allow the shack or structure to be placed on the ice of any inland waters more than 3 days before the waters on which the shack or structure is located are opened to ice fishing; or

C.__Fail to have painted on the outside of the shack or structure in 2-inch letters the owner's name and address when the shack or structure is on the ice of any inland waters.

2.__Penalty.__A person who violates subsection 1 commits a civil violation for which a forfeiture of not less than $100 nor more than $500 may be adjudged.

3.__Removal of abandoned ice fishing shacks.__Notwithstanding the provisions of Title 33, chapter 41, a landowner on whose property an ice fishing shack is left in violation of Title 17, section 2264 may remove or destroy the shack.__The landowner may recover any costs of removing or destroying the shack from the owner of the shack in a civil action.

§12662.__Night ice fishing
