B.__Hunt wild hares or rabbits in any manner except by the
ordinary method of shooting with guns or shooting with a
long bow and arrow or by falconry.

 
SUBCHAPTER 12

 
COYOTE HUNTING

 
§12001.__Seasons and restrictions

 
1.__Open season.__Notwithstanding section 11206, an open
season for hunting coyotes at night in all counties of the State
from January 1st to April 30th is established.

 
2.__Night; hunting hours.__All hunting is limited to the hours
between 1/2 hour after sunset and 1/2 hour before sunrise and
ceases at midnight each Saturday and may resume at 12:01 a.m.
each Monday.

 
3.__Restrictions; calling devices required.__A person may not
hunt coyotes at night without possessing an electronic, hand-held
or mouth-operated predator calling device.

 
SUBCHAPTER 13

 
HUNTING DOG TRAINING AND FIELD TRAINING

 
§12051.__Training

 
1.__Open training season.__Unless otherwise provided in this
Part, a person may not train dogs on wild birds and wild animals
except as follows.

 
A.__A person may train dogs on foxes, rabbits and raccoons
from July 1st through the following March 31st, including
Sundays.

 
B.__A person may train sporting dogs on wild birds at any
time, including Sundays.

 
C.__A resident may train up to 4 dogs at any one time on
bear from August 1st to the first day of the open season on
hunting bear, except in those portions of Washington County
and Hancock County that are situated south of Route 9.

 
A person who violates this subsection commits a Class E crime.
