municipalities requires a municipal match of 10% to 15% |
depending on the highway classification. This bill shifts the |
basis of the match away from highway classification to posted |
highway speeds. This bill applies the match requirement |
equally to all municipalities. This bill also prohibits the |
Department of Transportation from requiring a local match for |
highway reconstruction projects located in whole or in part in |
urban compact areas. |
