Sec. 1. 10 MRSA §1676-A is enacted to read:

§1676-A.__Display prices of home heating oil required

1.__Display required.__A retailer of home heating oil shall display the price per gallon on__each truck that is delivering home heating oil for that retailer in a clear and conspicuous manner.

2.__Enforcement.__A retailer who violates this section commits a civil violation for which a fine of not more than $100 for the first offense and not more than $500 for each subsequent offense may be adjudged.

SUMMARY

This bill requires that retailers of home heating oil display the price per gallon on their delivery trucks.
