| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7003 is enacted to read: |

| | | §7003.__Home possession of certain species |
|
| | | For a species legally taken under chapter 707, 709 or 711 | | for which there is a limit to the number of animals of that | | species a person may possess, the limitation does not include | | any of that species that the person possesses in that person's | | home. |

| | | This bill exempts from the possession limits in the hunting | | and fishing statutes of certain animals and fish any of those | | species that a person may possess in that person's home. |
