| | | Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §1302, sub-§3 is enacted to read: |

| | | 3.__Waiting period for failure to pass road test.__A minor | | who fails to pass a road test shall wait at least 30 days | | before being reexamined and shall complete 5 additional hours | | of driving while accompanied by a parent, guardian or licensed | | driver who is at least 20 years of age. |

| | | This bill requires a waiting period of 30 days and the | | completion of 5 additional hours of supervised driving before | | a person under 18 years of age may retake a road test. |
