Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §2526, sub-§6, ķA, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 737, Pt. A, §2 and Pt. C, §106 and as amended by PL 1989, c. 6, c. 9, §2 and c. 104, Pt. C, §§8 and 10, is further amended to read:

A. Any municipality, except one in which the municipal officers also serve as assessors, may adopt a board of assessment review at a meeting of its legislative body held at least 90 days before the annual meeting.

SUMMARY

The bill prohibits the establishment of a board of assessment review in those municipalities in which the municipal officers also serve as assessors.
