| Sec. 1. Registry for direct care workers working with persons with mental retardation. |
| Resolved: That by January 1, 2004 the Department of Behavioral |
| and Developmental Services shall establish a registry for |
| direct care workers working with persons with mental |
| retardation. The registry must operate in cooperation with |
| the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants, as |
| appropriate to the new registry; must require criminal history |
| record information; and must contain eligibility standards for |
| listing in good standing and for removal from good standing. |
| Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical |
| rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A. |
