Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §6726, sub-§1, ¶¶B and C, as amended by PL 1999, c. 94, §2, are further amended to read:

B. From December 1, 1999 to April 15, 2000, 3 1/4 inches in diameter; and

C. On From December 1, 2000 and thereafter to April 15, 2003, 3 1/2 inches in diameter.; and

Sec. 2. 12 MRSA §6726, sub-§1, ¶D is enacted to read:

D.__On December 1, 2003 and thereafter, 4 inches in diameter.

SUMMARY

This bill increases the minimum ring size of scallops from 3 1/2 inches in diameter to 4 inches in diameter.
