| | | Sec. 1. 36 MRSA §5219-U is enacted to read: |

| | | §5219-U.__Credit for certain small businesses |

| | | A credit of up to $100 is allowed against the tax imposed by | | this Part to a taxpayer with gross business receipts of less than | | $1,000,000.__The credit may not reduce the tax to less than zero. |

| | | This bill establishes an income tax credit of up to $100 for a | | taxpayer with gross business receipts of less than $1,000,000. |
