Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 21-A MRSA §671, sub-§1-A is enacted to read:

 
1-A.__Identification provided.__A voter who wishes to vote
must provide proof of identity in the form of a photo driver's
license, a photo identification card provided by the State or
another piece of identification created by the Secretary__of
State for the purpose of voting.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires a voter who wishes to vote in an election
to provide proof of identity in the form of a photo driver's
license, a state-provided picture identification card or some
other identification card created by the Secretary of State for
the purpose of voting.
