Sec. 1. Reimbursement of State's share of salt and sand storage facilities construction
costs. Resolved: That, notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes,
Title 23, section 1851 requiring reimbursements to be made based
on a schedule established by the Department of Environmental
Protection, the State shall reimburse, in accordance with Title
23, chapter 13, subchapter VII, those municipalities that have
constructed, prior to January 1, 2001, salt and sand storage
facilities that were approved by the Department of
Transportation. Reimbursement must be made no later than
December 31, 2001.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the State to reimburse to
municipalities, by December 31, 2001, the State's share of the
costs of salt and sand storage facilities that were constructed
by municipalities and approved by the Department of
Transportation prior to January 1, 2001.
