Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

SUMMARY

This bill provides for the safety of participants, volunteers and staff of the Maine Conservation Corps by providing safety- related equipment and a safety and training officer.

Funding in this bill provides for a safety and training officer to ensure compliance with safety standards and for training in the safe conduct of tasks associated with the corps, such as safe operation of equipment. Funding also provides for equipment needed for safe operation of the corps.
